This Matthew Dale trained Magnus gelding is now eight years old and is still racing as well as ever. He knows a lot about this race, the Kosciuszko, having won the last two editions. He has a great first up record of five wins from nine attempts and loves a soft track having won four races and run two seconds on soft tracks. With JMac up, I am happy to best bet him at around the $2.70 price.

Race 6 No.1 Overpass
This Bjorn Baker trained Vancouver gelding has a great first up record with three wins and three seconds from seven first up runs. He loves the soft going having won four races from six starts on soft ground. His last two runs have produced wins in the $5,000,000 Quokka where he accounted for Amelia’s Jewel and the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes. He looks well in with 58.5 kilos only two kilos over the minimum. He has won two recent trials at Rosehill in preparation for today and he looks great value at around the $5 price.
